Humans can not improve what nature has created. If RRA is allowed to grow & contaminate the worlds alfalfa, we will not have a choice of gmo or non-gmo. We will not have the organic option. More herbicides will be used especially since RR resistant weeds will develop-- go to Monsanto's website and check out the technology use agreement (TUA). It's awful stuff-- in many ways. One Monsanto employee even said that Labeling GMO's would be like putting a skull and crossbones on the product.
